Skyler (Sky) Anderson is a proud father of 2 beautiful boys and is a student of the First Nations University of Canada. Sky was born and raised in Regina and he is nêhiyawak, from the Peepeekisis and George Gordon First Nations. He is in his 4th year of study in Theatre with a focus in Acting.
While taking classes and working for the Globe Theatre as Cultural Liaison, he is also a theatre artist in the community. As a member of the Making Treaty 4 Collective, he helped create and perform Making Treaty 4 on the Globe Mainstage. He performed in the 2018/19 Globe Sandbox Series in the production of In Care under the direction of Curtis Peeteetuce, and most recently he created and performed in wanisiniwin / kwêski-pimâtisiw this past spring with his close friend Pete Kytwayhat. In Fall 2020, Sky will be creating and performing a piece again with Kytwayhat, as well as performing as part of an ensemble in a piece with Curtain Razors Theatre, for the National Arts Centre "Grand Acts of Theatre". Sky also facilitates Tipi Teachings and First Nations Traditional Games that were passed down to him from his kokums and mosoms.
