Laura Seaboyer is a Mi’kmaw artist, facilitator, and cultural connector from Sipekne’katik First Nation. Through her consulting practice, Nikanusk Consulting, she supports Indigenous-led initiatives in the arts by creating space for authentic storytelling, inclusive engagement, and culturally grounded practices.
With a background in therapeutic recreation and human resources, Laura brings a unique blend of community care and organizational strategy to her work in the arts sector. She has supported a wide range of projects—from large-scale cultural events to grassroots arts initiatives—helping to build inclusive spaces that centre Indigenous voices and values.
Laura works closely with Indigenous artists, arts organizations, and institutions to provide governance support, mentorship, and policy development. Her focus is on creating environments where artists feel supported, respected, and able to thrive. She specializes in developing artist-focused programming, coordinating cultural protocols, and bridging relationships between communities and creative industries.
