Indigenous Artist

I am a First Nations singer and professional guitarist who currently works in the Arts Granting Division at Canada Council for the Arts. With nearly 15 years of experience as a music teacher, I have taught through my own practice and at Long & McQuade, sharing my passion for music with students across various skill, and age, levels. As a performer, I have served as lead guitarist for Ontario theatres in productions including Mary Poppins, Tina Turner Musical, and A Christmas Carol, and have competed nationally with jazz bands and men's choirs. My work bridges artistic practice and arts administration, allowing me to support Indigenous artists while continuing to develop my own creative voice. Nutaq wela'lioq (sincere thanks)!
