L'nu Joker is an award-nominated Mi'kmaq artist from The Eskasoni First Nation in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, carving out his place in both music and film. A versatile creative hip hop artist, producer, DJ, and background actor, while also being a member of the Indigenous hip hop group KU$H. With fellow KU$H member Devon Paul, Joker has taken the stage at many major showcases including NXNE, Canadian Music Week, ECMA, and Nova Scotia Music Week. His debut solo EP, Through The Looking-Glass, earned him nominations for Indigenous Artist of the Year and Hip Hop/Rap Recording of the Year at the 2025 NSMW. His single Bad One (featuring JRDN) climbed to #17 on The East Coast Top 30, marking a breakout moment in his solo career. Joker has collaborated with heavyweights such as Bizarre of legendary Detroit rap group D12, Kinetic 9 of KillArmy (Wu-Tang affiliate), JRDN, DJ IV, and Team Back Pack winner Ren Thomas. Beyond music, his presence has extended to the screen with background roles in hit series and films including the award winning tv series The Trades, FROM, Washington Black, and the latest Trailer Park Boys film Bubbles and the Shit Rockers. Blending his Mi’kmaq roots with raw hip hop energy, L’nu Joker continues to push boundaries as one of Atlantic Canada’s most dynamic emerging artists.
