Indigenous Artist

Danica Charlie (she/they) is a mixed Nuu-chah-nulth/settler & queer theatre artist and is a 2021 graduate of the Canadian College of Performing Arts, where she attained her three-year Applied Performing Arts Diploma. She finished her education performing as part of the Company C Studio Ensemble.

As a performer, Danica has worked with companies such as the National Arts Centre, the Arts Club, Chemainus Theatre, Axis Theatre, the frank theatre, and Kaleidoscope Theatre to name a few.

She has also travelled across the country doing theatre for young audiences.

In her free time from creating on stage, Danica creates and sells handmade beadwork items, from earrings, to lanyards, necklaces, and bookmarks.

They are currently situated on the unceded, traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, also known as 'Vancouver'.​
