I am Matthew Wood, aka Creeasian, indigenous artist in residence 2021 with the city of Edmonton.Founding member of the Sampler Café collective and a long-time practitioner of hip-hop culture as a whole in Edmonton and beyond. I have made a living through DJ’ing, dancing, youth educating, and in recent years turned my focus to the art of beat making,music production education,projection mapping,and film making.Through providing a consistent blend of my indigenous roots and my hip-hop influenced
background, I always strive to break boundaries while highlighting the similarities between my traditional Cree culture and my modern influences. Dancing has always played a heavy role in my life from breaking to powwow.Currently tour with A Tribe Called Red.
