James Dallas Smith is an actor/writer/musician of Six Nations Mohawk & Scottish heritage. He grew up in Port Elgin but now resides in Toronto with his awesome wife, wonderful cat and a tiny, infant monster/human. Selected performing credits include: Almighty Voice and His Wife, Our Town, King Lear (Soulpepper), This Is How We Got Here, Ipperwash (Native Earth), The Berlin Blues, Ipperwash (Blyth), Proof, The Drawer Boy (Centaur), Hard Times for These Times (NAC), A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Much Ado About Nothing, As You Like It (Driftwood Theatre), Hayfever, Guys & Dolls, Fiddler on the Roof, Anne of Green Gables (Thousand Islands Playhouse) and Heart of a Distant Tribe (CIT/Equity Showcase). He is developing his first play, Crossroads, which was workshopped at Native Earth in the fall of 2019 and has been commissioned by the Blyth Festival.
