J.Otis is an independent Indigenous artist, producer, and music engineer from Fort
Albany Cree First Nation. In 2018, he founded the record label, 67 Records, and
works as CEO to provide open resources to other independent artists across the
globe. His music ranges from R&B to Indigenous language rap, and he is a gifted
engineer who produces his own songs in their entirety.
J.Otis has released 3 albums and 16 singles (available on all streaming platforms),
with more work on the way. He has a network of engineers and continues to
support independent artists in establishing their careers through 67 Records.
In addition to his music, J.Otis leads Healing Through Music Programs
for youth in his home community. This passionate and driven artist
aims to support his community with music and works with at-risk
youth to provide musical and leadership training.
J.Otis is disrupting the music industry. In this modern era, he is
introducing a new operational structure to the music industry for major
and indie labels alike. J.Otis is committed to creating a new, fair, positive,
and honest environment for the industry and artists.
