Indigenous Artist

I am a proud L’nu who is the daughter of Mary K Jeddore and Anthony John from Mi’kma’ki territory in Miawpukek NL.
I am passionate learning and practicing my culture and share gratitude to my elders and knowledge sharers for guiding me on my journey. Through dance of women traditional dance is a form of prayer and healing to honouring our ancestors and my mom .
I work at the Mi’kmaw Native Friendship Centre in Kjipktuk N.S. as a victim support navigator to support and care for our urban indigenous women who have suffered trauma from all forms of violence, exploitation and trafficking through ceremonies and culture. I have the honour to support families and share awareness of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, Two Spirit plus . I work with many non indigenous organizations in my work to be an allied in honouring the Truth & Reconciliation calls of action and MMIWG2S Calls for Justice.
