Malgorzata Nowacka-May is a dancer, choreographer, producer and Artistic Director of Chimera Dance Theatre. Her choreographic work was showcased in some of Canada’s most prestigious western contemporary dance contexts, including Canada Dance Festival, Dancing on the Edge Festival, OFF-Festival Trans-Ameriques, DanceWorks Mainstage Series, Next Steps, Dance Victoria, and internationally at the Festival Internacional de Danza Contemporanea Lila Lopez, in Mexico City, Salinas de Hidalgo, SLP and Salinas de Hidalgo, in Mexico.

Between 2015-2018 Nowacka-May created works for Canada's Ballet Jörgen Junior Company, and Canada's Ballet Jörgen, which have been seen across Canada on the company’s touring repertoire each season. Her collaborative processes include working with b-boy Lee Lethal Pham in The Calm Before… and Anjelica Scannura and Ritmo Flamenco in Bird Bee Bat Attack. In 2014 She was commissioned to create Bears Stars and Trees for the Algoma Fall Festival, conceived by Donna Hilsinger, and guided by Missanabie Cree First Nation elder and Chancellor of Algoma University Shirley Horn.

Nowacka-May created Chimera's Company B, a youth mentorship program that supported the journey of 33 young dance artists since 2010, and in partnership with Harbourfront Centre, FRESH BLOOD (2009-2016), an annual festival that brought 297 artists to the Harbourfront Centre Theatre.

Malgorzata is the founding co-producer of Turn-Out Radio, 89.5 FM, and is currently the Vice-Chair of the Program Advisory Committee, George Brown Dance, George Brown College.
