I am a Non Indigenous Member of Debajehmujig Storytellers on Manitoulin Island. I have been with the company since 1993. I have worked in several administrative roles at the company, Marketing Director, Director of Special Projects, Artistic Producer and currently I am the Director of our professional training program, National Aboriginal Arts Animator Program. This is a three year curriculum of professional arts and community animation skills, grounded in Odawa Foundation Teachings comprised of four main elements, the learner's relationship to the land at the identity level, the learners impulse to explore dance, music, live performance and media to form the foundation of their creative message to the world. Our training program has been operating since 1997 and has been supported by the Canada Art Training Fund since 2001.
