Blake is currently teaching Introduction to Theatre:Indigenous Performance at the University of Winnipeg. He is a gate opener for Indigenous people into the world of Film and Theatre and University. He hopes to see an Indigenous teacher/artist hired full time at the U of W. Film and Theatre Department.Former students include Michael Lawrenchuk, Tracey Nepinak, Tina Keeper and Sonya Ballentyne. He is supported in his teaching by Dakota Elder and Sundance Chief Calvin Pompana.

As an actor Blake's upcoming films in post-production include Percy Vs Goliath with Christopher Walken and Flag Day directed by Sean Penn. Recently released; Stand! the Musical. Soon to be released include a supporting role in Christmas Love Story with Alecia Witt and Brendan Hines and the film Hunter Hunter.

Past film/TV credits include: Clive (A Tennessee Christmas) with Patricia Richardson, Rachel Boston and Andrew Walker, Clarence(The Pinkertons), Fred Alan Wolf (Path of Souls/Jeremy Torrie,Adam Beach), Dr. Holtzman( Passionflower); Red Fisher ( The Don Cherry Story); Earl Hunt opposite Gary Busy (Maneater); Dr. Good (Cord) with Daryl Hannah and Jennifer Tilley; loner (Heaven is for Real) ;Bob (The Christmas Heart); Lowell Murray (The Haunting in Connecticut); Reggie (Something Beneath); Manawaka doctor (The Stone Angel). Recurring roles in series include Mayor GeorgeTallis (Falcon Beach) and Minion Dave (Todd and the Book of Pure Evil). He has played numerous roles on stage in the US and Canada and has directed several plays at Noon Hour Theatre and the U. of Winnipeg.

Blake lives in Winnipeg with his wife Mimi and son Sean where he has taught extensively at the University of Winnipeg Department of Theatre and Film.
