This double dance program will transport you to vibrant and assertive worlds!
First up is Ferrari en feu by Le CRue, an ode to individual and collective freedom. Balancing on two chairs, Julia-Maude Cloutier and Amélie Gagnon cope with discomfort, put themselves under tension, and seek to expand the space inside and outside themselves. The Ferrari, a triumphant symbol of opulence and the acceleration of the pace of life, is treated here with playfulness. The duo thwarts pressure, resists speed, and transforms the unbearable through humor, creativity, resilience, and rebellion.
Next, it will be the turn of the company Les Coz de Maïs to take the stage and immerse the audience in a world where cultures meet and intertwine. In this unique sensory experience, music, dance, poetry, and traditional Wendat sounds come together to create an unforgettable artistic journey. Throughout the performance, Sandrine Masse and Catherine Dagenais-Savard weave stories that resonate with their perception of the world as Wendat and Quebec women.
A co-presentation by La Rotonde and the Grand Théâtre de Québec in collaboration with KWE! À la rencontre des peuples autochtones.
