Full Circle: First Nation’s Performance Presents:
“Talking Stick Festival 2010″
.
Full Circle First Nations Performance is very excited to present the 9th Annual Talking Stick Festival from February 21 – 28, 2010. This vibrant citywide festival provides a stage for extraordinary Aboriginal artists, both established and emerging, as well as national and international. They will perform live music, dance, theatre, multi-media, storytelling, and performance art. The festival – co-presented by the Vancouver 2010 Cultural Olympiad – is thrilled to be able to introduce the Aboriginal culture and arts to the many visitors here during the Olympics.
Since its inception, the festival has become a place to honour Aboriginal tradition in contemporary forms, the artistic wealth of the people, and the promise of their future in Canada. The festival is a smorgasbord of Aboriginal artistic expression including, but not limited to music, dance, and spoken word, providing a stage for emerging and established artists.
For more information – and there is indeed much, much more – visit Full Circle’s website. Here you will find the Festival schedule, artist biographies, and event details.
